Arabic-first restaurant operating system: POS, kitchen display, QR self-ordering and inventory in one product, built on Frappe/ERPNext with React and Vue front-ends.
Tech Stack
Matt3am (مطعم) is a restaurant operating system I lead end to end: product, design system, front end and back end. It puts everything a restaurant runs on into one product: the cashier POS, a kitchen display, QR self-ordering for guests, tables and reservations, delivery-platform orders, and inventory with production planning.
Back end: a custom Frappe app on top of ERPNext (Python, MariaDB, Redis). It reuses ERPNext's accounting and stock primitives (items, BOMs, price lists, the stock ledger) for restaurant workflows such as kitchen tickets (KOT), table sessions, happy-hour pricing, loyalty points, gift cards and shift opening and closing.
Front end: a Yarn-workspaces monorepo. The POS, admin dashboard and self-order PWA are React 19 + TypeScript + Vite with Zustand, Tailwind CSS and shared UI packages; the kitchen display is Vue 3. Every screen follows one Matt3am Figma design system, Arabic-first with full RTL support and an English (LTR) mode.
Highlights: the customer display mirrors the cashier's cart live; QR orders go straight to the kitchen screen, and guests follow their order status with Web Push updates instead of pagers; Uber Eats, Yemeksepeti and Getir orders land in the same flow; an offline queue keeps the POS selling through network drops. It ships as Docker images and auto-deploys through Dokploy.
